Do you have a problem with spam, untrustworthy websites, annoying bugs and files... Well, there is an extension which can help you... Its called WOT (Web Of Trust) - "Web of Trust is a safe browsing tool, which warns you about risky sites that cheat customers, deliver malware or send spam."
Its basically a system where people vote on sites they visit, the system is so large now it covers almost the entire web... with millions of voters for a lot of the sites... Each site is graded on Trustworthiness, Privacy, Vendor reliability and Child safety... The extension Icon changes colour depending on the sites reputation, and a huge warning pops up if you stray to a site that is Highly dangerous... The icon colours even appears alongside your Google search results, showing you which links are good and which are bad... Despite this extension not knowing what it is, (it does several things that are completely unrelated to its name) this extension proves to be quite useful. not only will it clear your browser history in a flash, but can also close you tabs that you aren't using, and has a very nice built in "cache media player", which i have yet to see be repeated in any other extension. This media player is very handy... Say you've watched a lot of youtube videos lately and wanted to see those video's again, forget spending hours searching for them and then wait for them to load again... Click and clean's media player loads them from cache, and plays them staright away, the quality is the same and its like you have downloaded the video's to your hardrive...
I wasn't kidding when i said this extension does several things that are completely unrelated to its name, apart from the built in cache media player, it has a sketchpad where you can create and exploit .png files with transparency! (not even Ms paint can do this) It has a music producer, audio and video editor... one hundred and one useless links to everything chrome and beyond! A photo capture tool which takes a screenshot of the web and lets you edit it and many many more features! Personally I find it quite annoying when an extension does more than it should, a re-design is in order I think (or renaming), I mean, look at the picture here, WHY all the extra's! nevertheless, it has some great features i'll probably never appreciate (the coding must be insane!) I've actually uninstalled this extension as I don't need any of these features, but it is cool to see what can be done!

Possibly the most innovative and important extension in the history of extensions, perhaps that's overkill, but as a university student, it doesn't get any better than this. I'd be happy if it only highlighted, albeit I wouldn't give it such a raving introduction. No, not only does it highlight and keep those highlighted bits for when you next visit the site, but log into "Delicious" and you will see it has copied everything you need into one notepad for easy use.
No more losing your train of thought while you read and helps you focus on what's really important. There is also an extremely handy sticky-note feature which you can attach to highlighted sections in case you have ingenious brainwaves and are prone to forgetting... All-in-all this is a very handy little gadget for any student. It manages to make you feel extremely clever and important at the same time...

Seesu Music Downloader
Struggling to find those "insignificant" artists/songs no one seems to know? Have no fear, Seesu is equipped and apt for the job. Its a bit unfortunate and slightly weird that in order for the extension to work, you need an account with VK.com, which is a Russian Facebook ripoff, but never-the-less, give it a chance, just set up an account once and you'll never have to visit the site again, but can then enjoy endless amounts of music downloads from Seesu. Seesu incorporates Last.fm search suggestions, full search of artists, tracks, tags. mp3 search, listen and download, last.fm scrobbling...

I know I may sound like a bit of a hypocrite putting this on my website (which has adverts), but there are times for adverts... I use this extension to filter out the "bad" and "dirty" adverts often seen on some sites... I use adverts myself as it is a way of bringing in a little extra dough, remember i'm still a student, every penny is useful in some crafty way... This extension really does work, and makes for a smoother and pleasant experience on the net...
